These guys are fantastic in every sense. The music is composed beautifully with its pleasing rhythms and flowing feel, giving you a wonderful internal glow as you listen. And you won't be able to help yourself listening to the great lyrics sung by well tempered vocals. For their first album on jamendo, I think this is a terrific debut and I look forward to hearing more from these guys. Excellent.

Dismissing this work as a copycat version of early Yes would be an awful mistake. Although it's undeniable that Tin Soldier owe something to such classics as "The Yes Album" and "Close to The Edge" (mostly during the instrumental bridges), their sound is actually a product of the time we live in. Echoes from adult-contemporary (Sting) and West-Coast (Buffalo Springfield) merge in a tight and extremely self-conscious pastiche that entrances the listener, while never pestering him/her with the daft bombast of progressive rock.

Nella es la mejor canción que he oído este año.
Espero que sigan trabajando y creando música, porque la belleza de sus composiciones es extraordinaria.

I loved the name of the group. I thought that overall the album was well put together with a pleasing cover. In all three songs the instruments knitted together very nicely. I loved the melodies, very mellow jazz/rock-fusion with pleasant vocals. Reminded me of the music from the late 60s. My favorite was Time as it is with Jon anderson. Seemed to be almost an easy listening genre song. It had a strong beginning which takes you at a trot into the meat of the song. I really liked the outro with its layerings, three quarters of the way through, as the tempo builds, digresses and then slows to a great ending. Very nice little album and will look for more. Not a discordant sound in all.

The composition on this album will blow your mind. Not to mention the Nella solo...that monsters got the soul of hendrix, the fury of page, and yet the rich taste of a finly aged single malt. The organ that comes in at the end will tear you a new one if that tone didn't do it already. Thanks to you guys im gona have john andersons voice whirling around my head for the next couple weeks. time that it is, time that it takes to knowww...

I don't hear Yes here, nor Jon Anderson except for a couple of Yes common places thrown in, especially in last song. Let's say one minute in the whole EP.

Maybe because I listened a lot to Yes (I'm 44), I know every album note by note and melodies are quite different from the ones by these guys. But I respect people's thinking, and same time I can't lie to avoid somebody get offended (I'm sorry, if it happens).

So If they didn't mention Yes singer in last song I didn't even notice it.

Both music and vocals remind me A LOT moe. and Umphrey's McGee. Lead singer seem Brendan Bayliss of Umphrey's McGee; when they sing in chorus they sound more like the three singers in moe.

My favorite song is Soldier... which remind me Anchor Drops by Umphrey McGee.

But they are not a clone of these band, simply they are not progressive, but a jam band, and very interesting I have to say. Jam bands sound similar as they play at high technical level, and they make arena rock mixed with progressive and fusion. It's a very recognizable formula (like 80s californian hardcore punx, to make an example) so can push all the band in the genre to sound similar (if listened to with distraction).

Here they miss the "great shot", but I'm sure next record they'll find a majestic series of hooks, You can perceive they are on the go, they're looking for THE solution. I think this band got numbers, and they can express a wide range of styles, by now they are in a kind of funnel, so songs sound like a single song splitted by three.
