Mélangeant les styles et les langues, l'harmonie des voix et les rythmes de guitare, le groupe Lull est né de la rencontre d un chanteur musicien bercé par le reggae et dune voix aux couleurs des années trentes. Cela fait bientot quatre ans qu'ensemble, ils revisitent des standards de Jazz et des chansons dartistes tels que Keziah Jones, Lhasa, Bob Marley, Bonga... Ces influences sont autant dinspirations pour leurs morceaux quils créent en portant une attention particulière à la melodie. Leur rôle dans la composition sest établi tout naturellement. Lena écrit les paroles, Arnaud compose la musique et ils créent ensemble la melodie. Certaines chansons sont inspirées par des voyages, des rencontres, dautres sont plus personnelles et nous laissent entrevoir leur vision des choses. Un concert sur lile de Boa Vista aux côtes de Zefereno Rodrigo a apporté à leur spectacle des resonances Capverdiennes. Aujourdhui, le groupe Lull se produit dans de nombreux cafés concerts Parisiens et travaillent a lelaboration dun premier album.// It's been 4 years since Lena and Arnaud began to play together. They come from south of France and now live in Paris where they play as often as they can. They are working on a first album and are still looking for a label.

very nice

The guitar playing is good, and it is complimented by great voices and good harmonies. I especially like the flamenco/django feel to the guitar work. I want to hear more from these people.

Great natural sound

Rarely listen more than two times an album (in general, that's a personal problem)i like the natural sound of the guitar, it seams like you are right here by my side jamming and that's a very dificult effect to achieve when mastering the recording. The voice is very friendly (friendly i mean that it sounds like if you are a friend of the listener, it creates an atmosfere of complicity with the listener) it feels awsome.

Excelent listening for a relax moment.

I love the acoustic guitars and harmonies, but I don't like the religious theme in a few songs.

One listen and I was immediately drawn into each and every song. What a perfect blend of vocals that left me wanting more. There wasn't a song I didn't like and every track stood strong on it's own.

Музыка дуэта не только красива, но и проста. При том ассоциации, которые вызывает творчество Lull, необычно пророссийские: Татьяна и Сергей Никитины, трио «Меридиан». То есть, многоголосие, гитара и безупречные, чистые мелодии. Когда у нас порой брезгливо произносят «КСП», то забывают о том, что бардовская традиция общемировая. Как барды начинали Боб Дилан и Марк Болан, культовыми стали имена бардов Арло Гатри, Эллиота Смита и Тайни Тима, да и весь «эмтивишный» проект Unplugged не иначе как игры в бардов.
Таким образом мы возвращаемся к тому, с чего начали этот обзор – снова традиционность в лучшем смысле слова. А между тем, на сайте исполнителей до сих пор указано: they are still looking for a label (до сих пор ищут издателя). Удачи, Лена и Арно!

The beauty of simple compositions is that the feeling shines through the guitar playing and the voices. Very gentle and sometimes moody, but uplifting music. Reminds a little of 5nizza the two Ukraninan boys or

A very mellow end- of -the night-album, which, fittingly saves it's best moment for last..
The playing is crisp and the vocals are clear, honest and endearingly un-twee.The harmonies work well and, for a stripped down approach, nicely balanced and varied.The production has a warmth and clarity about it that wraps itself around you like a blanket..in all a recommended, solid listen.

this album contains an unbelievable guitar melody and rhythms. from track to track it's deliver a soft, cozy feelings, till your feet just can't stand to move.
