I've got mixed feelings after listening to this album. What are "mixed feelings"? There is this popular joke: "mixed feelings are when you're watching your mother-in-law drive off a cliff in your new Ferrari". Well... Maybe. But for me it's also "hearing great music spoiled by a bad singer with a terrible English accent".

Why on Earth so many people feel they have to sing in English, even if they lack skills? Somebody kidnapped your mother-in-law and threatens to throw her off a cliff, if you start singing in your native language? Ooops! Bad example. Anyhow...

Everything else, apart from the vocalist's work, is at least good on this album. Great dark atmosphere, catchy melodies, very fine distorted guitars, nice electronic effects put in just right places. Just listen to these three instrumental pieces: 06, 08 & 12. Very interesting dark electronica, isn't it? Only maybe production is not up to par on several tracks, but not below my level of tolerance.

And then... the singer. His voice is weak and from time to time he is almost out-of-tune. I could tolerate it, if this was his only problem. But the true disaster is his English accent. Why not to sing in Italian? Somebody told them only italo-disco is permitted in Italian? OK, the sound of English is great, it is an easy language to sing and write lyrics, but it makes sense only if the vocalist is able to learn a decent accent! Otherwise, just stick with your native language and the effect will be infinitely better. Because for now, it's just "Zuppa Romana" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlWKrmXaN1I).

Of course, I can recommend this album to people who don't know English, or are unable to hear differences in English accents, because the instrumental part is very good.

What's the genre? A dark synthpop / electro with industrial feel to it - a mix of Depeche Mode and Oomph! for me. By the way, speaking of Oomph!... Somehow they are not ashamed to sing in German. Instead of embarrassing themselves with "Anglisch"...

EDIT:
Apart from Jamendo, you can also download it directly from the artist at Bandcamp (http://dkasdecay.bandcamp.com/album/electroglamour-and-infinite-sadness) for free or for a donation in a variety of formats, including lossless FLAC version. Strangely, this release is governed by a different CC license: by-nc-sa.

This is my favorite album of all of them. Dark and arranged perfectly. Great vocals and lyrics.
