This is great. I liked it from the first couple of seconds, and everyone I've played it for has loved it. It's very well done, and well recorded. Definitely a 10.

The emotion of these songs is a memory of the person he was. This is his soul: he will survive through his wonderful music.

Pros:
The performance was pretty good, so it was at least bearable (see below). The traditional songs such as "Star of the County Down" improved the impression a bit. Eventually, I loved "Down by the Elfin Spring (feat Claudia)", I would say it was a great gothic/symphonic metal ballad.

Cons:
At first, I thought... what the hell was that?! Celtic? Medieval? Folkrock? Man, that's just some pop-music with quite strong celtic or medieval influence. When I first heard that German lyrics, it got even worse... (I'd had terrible experience with German pop on radio.)

This is a musical style, or more precisely, a mix or fusion between some styles, that I quite appreciate. Rock is a very general concept, in my view... because it is so often seen walking hand in hand with a different company. Of course, on that account, there are always those that will say it's no good... that Rock is a tramp... unfaithful and with no personality. Maybe... in my view, those so varied partnerships, just prove the versatility of the style and the capacity of adaptation... other's will sustain that Rock is weak and not even the predominant style here... that it's more Folk, or Celtic... I agree. Sometimes it's more Folk, others more Celtic... still, always Rock... and for all its single quality and even originality, an excellent Alternative, to the more traditional options.

Some more melodic tendency of one or other style, may suggest another partnership... but I would just say, that such supposition is but pure jealousy.

My respects.

Wonderful Celtic feel to these songs, and they are performed with great talent and pride.

If you like Celtic/folk music, you can't go wrong by enjoying this album.

A great job!

Lovely beautiful music. I can feel my European ancestors, both Teutonic and Scottish in these tunes. Thank you for sharing your gift!!!
