I can't find similarities to Linkin Park (especially as they got harder with their albums).
It's perfect. This complete album reminds me of the sound of Stone Sour with their slower songs. Far more good songs that Nickelback ever had (for my taste) Can also be compared with PapaRoch and Twelve Stones. Has really some power.
This album is worth listening too and it makes a lot of fun.
Note: I'm seeding OGG torrent.
From the opening stereopanned hypnotic indian riffs, this album began to reel me in. Expertly executed performances from all."She" - a great rock song sandwiched between the aforementioned indianizms and a beautiful chamber orchestra finale! Then the straightahead riffing of sirens gets serious. Comparisons to anyone do this band a disservice. "Sense", like "She" makes fine use of the stereo picture in its intro. Simple but effective. Great contemporary rock harmonies, just enough edge to the singer's vocals - which are inherently listenable. You get the feeling that this band's creative well runneth over.A truly great rock album, by anyone's standards.
Very nice rock album. Wow - such excellent male vocals. That voice is very good, he can sure carry a note as in the song "Sense," and he has an excellent range. Great back-up vocals also. We were very impressed with the lyrics and the instrumental play. Super, unbelievably outstanding guitars, violin, drums. All very cohesive and smooth. Wow - if only this band were live on stage - that would be huge fun! We are so glad I clicked on that link on the side of the page to try out these guys. But - they only have this one album. I also wish someone would type their lyrics into that section of this page. Sometimes it is hard to get the whole sense of the poem when hearing the song. There is a lot of passion in this album.
I especially loved the song "Across the Ocean" perhaps because of its sentimentality, and sweetness, and tempo. "Sense" was so cool with a soaring note. I also liked "Emergency" which was more dark with a striking heaviness as a rock/pop song. "Never Enough" was quite powerful with a strong, hot guitar.
Overall - If you love excellent rock - this is the album for you. It is very professional sounding and we have every expectation that these guys will fly and become very popular in the world outside Jamendo.
Now these guys are really good, I love the poetic sounding lyrics, let alone the captivating, strong vocals from the singers you hear. Great music that gets the spirit and flow of the lyrics and vocals to perfection. Energetic, stylish, yet great sounding, dynamic music, that stirs and drives you, as each and every tracks plays. You want more and more. A Good strong guitarist on this album, and drummer, love the violin you hear as well, with that little touch of classical music. stimulates and gives the music that little bit more edge and completes,to music more and give it that extra touch of class in "She" for example. These give any big major group a good run for their money, like for example Nickleback, as they are that good and professional sounding as they are.
There's seldom an album I will sit and listen to all the way through in the first day I have it. "Ambush On All Sides" made an exception.
The guitar is brilliant, the rock sound is hard and pure, and the vocalists know how to belt it out. Hard to believe this is free of charge and under such a permissive license. Dreams do come true. :')
For those getting initiated into this album, don't skip around too much. There's a really good order to the songs. "She" is easy to like, "Sirens" is a headbanging plea on your heartstrings, "Popcorn" might even make you laugh, "Black Satellite" gives you chills, and "Flood" will send you to hard rock Valhalla.
1) Listen to it.
Done?
2) Now listen to it again.
Amazed?
3) Start at step #1.
Good all round rock music and a sound that ranges from Nickelback to Green Day. First class production, impressive musicians. Only one criticism: exactly what style of rock are they?
I just can't believe this kind of stuff could exist for free (as in freedom).
The voices are perfect and clear, I can understand lyrics even being non-native english. The music is just awesome, original, typical rock as we like it but with a very good modern and dynamic feeling.
Many many songs, and no repetitive feeling. Each song is unique and I liked every second of them. It's even too hard for me to dress a list of the favorite songs because they are all too awesome.
Overall it's extremely well performed and clean, and totally feels like professional/commercial bands and much better than most of the current marketed crap.
It's really a shame that this band isn't more famous! This is one of the best stuff I have ever listened.
Thanks a lot for your hard work and sharing this awesome piece of art for free.
