Album description

Guitar-driven, late-night excursions by a lone guy surrounded by an audience of enticing instruments. One part jazz, one part rock, seasoned to taste with symphonic and international flavors. Headphone friendly.

AUDIO QUALITY: The sound quality of Pieces, if downloaded, is professional and significantly better than the lo-fi Jamendo streams would suggest. The loss in quality via the streams here is really frustrating.

LISTENING TIP: These tunes use the symphonic approach of introducing main melodic and rhythmic patterns early and then repeating them later on various instruments, often in subtle ways. If you have the patience, repeated listenings will likely reveal those sneaky surprises that keep me smiling. Thanks for listening!

After listening to this album I felt as if I had just finished an excellent novel, as I wiped the sweat from my brow.
"Shades of Sharya" - seemed that this track had several genres to it with a variety of tempos and emotions as it traversed through its allotted time. Interesting, entertaining and very lovable.
"UpTown, Downtown..." - stunning guitar, lots of joy in this piece - again tons of dynamic movement throughout it with lots of range and changes in tempo, etc. So good! You have to pay attention to this guy's work.
"Jungle Jam" - I had to laugh for some reason, at the beginning, it reminded me of the "Pink Panther" movies. Lots of instruments and drama.
"Snakin' Homeward..." Definitely propels you along with its forceful guitar and tempo.
"Run Fox Run" Wonderful rock composition. More mellow in flavor, temperate, and a fantastic blend of instruments with a super guitar.

I was very disappointed, though, that this artist has only this one album on Jamendo. All in all this music is outstanding, progressive, and extremely enjoyable listening.
