Mutant Star - Forest Keeper (Multiplex Records)

Mutant Star Project was founded at the end of 1999 by two members of the then underground group Demimonde. After the release of their debut album Demimonde – Mutant Star by the label Epidemie Records in 2000 the members of the group have drifted apart into different multimedia projects. One of these projects is the Mutant Star.

Main stimulus for the formation of the Mutant Star Project was a millennium turning point atmosphere, with our experiments on music field getting a new dimension in the shadow of cyber evolution. Our fractal perception of environment we weren´t able to name started to make sense and was given a form and medium – surfing on the free parties wave we landed first in GOA and later on in PSYTRANCE. Another important impulse was a continual tide of records from friends and relatives hanging around in Goa (The Sound of Goa Party, Psychadelic Trip to Goa, Trancentral compilation, Shamanic trance etc.)

Mutant Star released an album on the well known label Blizzbits Rec. called Ballonia Rec. before. Now they back with the second Album exclusive on Multiplex Records.

The name of the album Forest Keeper is an old celtic term for the 'Soul of the night', a pure spirit diffused throughout all nature. Mutant Star was introduced to the trance community on Blizzbits Rec. with the album "Demimonde".

Now Multiplex Records is proud to present more of their works to trancers worldwide. People looking for a set of complex layered sounds, hypnotic synth-melodies and some guitar riffs won't for sure be disappointed!

Multiplex records is a mecklenburg vorpommern/germany based record label for electronic music and is primarily influenced by psychedelic trance, progressive trance, minimal techno and ambient/chillout.

weaselson, the head of this fresh project, started this idea after hearing music from great artists which never released tracks and also well unknown. this months the first compilation which mostly unknown but great artists should find the way to your cd players.

but the intense work on the label began finally now in 2007, when weaselson and rypzylon decided at a party to puplish and push such artists at a record together. from that idea out of drunkness, the first final product is in progress...
