The first entrance, as well as doing just that - entrancing, is dramatic and actually feels quite positive in a way. Devil's Stare gives the work a focus, slowly building the impetus of the import. A slow awareness building the sense of dread, just right. The Dance of Fallen Angels, a wonderful diversion almost, to further excite the imagination. Licking playfully at the heels of the visitor come the Flames. Very energetic and elemental. Again, there is an apparent reflectivity here. Maybe a chance to see the fire and brimstone as symbolic. Each to their own eschatology, of course. Ashes cover the aftermath perfectly well. The theme continues strongly. It is all wrapped up with Funeral, though the shroud as worn, goes through more of a dynamic dirge than a solemn procession. However, there is some tranquility to be experienced. Not that it lasts forever! Fantastic!
