Amazing talent

Alexandr Filippov is one of the most talented acoustic guitarists I have heard for a long time. Reminiscent of early Lee Ritenour, there are overtones of John McLaughlin's abstract jazz style, but without his icy chill.
There is a great variety of moods, from the moody "désintéressé" Brazilian opening, the tight rhythms and perfect timing of Istambul, the pathos of Never, and the beauty of the two Epizody, and more.
I only hope he can tour the west soon, with or without the quartet - he would be awesome to see and hear live.
I wish there were an official way to buy this album. You won't find it on Amazon...
