Obiymy Doschu is a ukrainian band that play very lyrical, autumnal rock music with progressive rock, doom metal, neofolk and neoclassical influences.

Elehia is the band's debut album released in August 29th 2009 as a free download on rain.in.ua/en.html. It's a result of Obiymy Doschu activities since it's formation in 2004. The band members have finally managed to realize all their ideas for written songs and present the album as one involving personal story.

The album also has a promo video with song fragments for a quick listen.

I was held, spellbound and felt in total awe, and also moved and inspired,by this heartfelt, classical, beautiful, sound-scape of atmospheric-al, music and captivating,honest,moving, emotional, strong vocals from this lead singer in this band,one man and a lady is heard at times. both are impeccable. and the musicians who know, how to make fantastic, ballad, enchanting, graceful, serene, atmospheric-al,stimulating,acoustic,flute,folkish even, enchanting, magical, profound music, with excellent use of natural sound affects like the flow of water in, Samotni Nochi it's heard in that track. This album and this band, have got to be my all time favourite album on Jamendo. And that takes some making.

this is a revelation. this is not a half-conceived demo, but a full-blown project that is heads and shoulder better than 95% of the bigger prog label issued - musea, mellow, etc - out there.

A Rich Tapestry

I love the way many of the songs on this album begin with a gentle guitar and catch fire as they progress with added instruments and wonderful voice and then end with a gentle note or soundscape. I think of this music as a rich tapestry packed with color and depth and beauty. All tracks have a very rich tone and melodious voice full of heart, feeling, dramatic expression, altogether exceptional. The male voice in particular is so sweet, so romantic, so superb almost operatic. The guitar is precise and the beats and percussions are well done. The album is very special and lovely and most people would enjoy a listen. Even if we don't understand the story or the poetry we can almost understand because of the emoting of the singers and the instruments and we can certainly love the music we hear. The album cover is also very serene and attractive.
