At first, I wasn’t sure how to take this instrumental album: is there any reference music existing? Should we always find something we can refer to? I don’t know. Anyway, the bass line of “Fever funk” sounds to me like some tunes of Talking Heads. This music, however, is far from the Talking Heads as it is a quite far from all music I know. So I think it’s better just to “Shake yourself” by listening this album rather than keep asking about the genre; just play and enjoy, which could also be the attitude of Angus when he composes his tunes. Street Music is interesting and inspiring album.
