No, Really - Acoustic Demo
Acoustic Demo

Album description

Recorded at SCM Recordings in October of 2006, the Acoustic Demo strips three songs down to basics and lets lyrics and melodies dominate. Jaunty "Molten," chilling "Rust," and peaceful "Do You Know Where Your Children Are?" benefit from the spare treatment and span an impressive artistic range in a surprisingly short time.

Wow, a really really great voice! So pure, dead on with pitches, great dynamics! Slammin' acoustics too! Very nice work!

I rarely get the opportunity to review due to time constraints in video making.

However, I really felt compelled to comment here.

This is clean, clear soprano, absolutely top notch vocals.

I'd really like to see more of this artist in the future with more instruments and possibly some harmony.

The recording itself is cleanly done and quality.

These three songs are well worth the listening time [TWICE!]

"Molten" and "rust" are extremely strong tracks.

I'd definitely check out any more from this artist.

I'm using "Rust" in a video after searching all day for a good piece.

Thanks, "No Really"--I will send you the addy when I'm finished!

¿Cómo he podido vivir todo este tiempo sin Jamendo y las maravillosas canciones que se pueden encontrar aquí? Un buen ejemplo, No Really, con su voz sugerente y llena de fuerza. Me ha encantado.

Wow. She just melt my heart with that fantastic voice. I wake every morning to the song "Molten", because every morning is a new start. The tune just brights up my day.

I wish you all the best, dear artist and will be supporting you in near future, when my financial status will be a bit better. For the moment, I can "only" tell everybody about your great work.

This review is mainly for people who have already heard her album Rust. If you haven't heard Rust, listen to it, not this.

This demo is an interesting look at songs which were later used on Rust. They are all well-played on acoustic guitar. Probably the most interesting track is "Rust". It's lyrics had apparently not been finalized at the time this was recorded, so it now stands as an alternate version of the lyrics.

If you're a rabid No, Really fan like myself, you should download this. If not, the songs are not different enough from their final version on the album to warrant listening.

Absolutely fantastic! I can't come up with words that do this album justice, it's just "wow"!

What a nice, sweet, innocent, honest, sounding voice, she has, and nice passionate, heartfelt, lyrics, that stimulates your senses and a perfectly played, acoustic guitar that accompanies her as she sings. Simply a fabulous album.
