there's a fine line between embarassing yourself and creating something special.

i like to think that you can't have one without the other, in fact.

these songs were recorded august 1 - october 3, 2009.
during this time i was hopeful that my life was going through an incredible transformation, but in early September, things fell apart. the album attempts to go through these feelings in order...

"i am trying to be grown up here" is a bit of a joke. it's what i tell myself when i act silly or do something only a fool might do. it's akin to the saying "we're trying to have a civilization here"

anyway, i am not--will never be--grown up.

i'll drink to that!
