Bold, exotic, powerful with the deep and hypnotic moan of the didgeridoo which starred along with so many other well played and well used instruments, guitar, shining harmonica, keyboards, etc. - all used by this genius, Philippe Mayne, to produce this marvelous album, too short, but still so good. The blues - always a yearning, a hunger for something lost, a lost past perhaps, a freer time. "In the Deep" was the most interesting of the four, less blues, more electronic, really melting in with that ubiquitous didgeridoo. But my favorite was "Blues for Didj" which was just exquisitely hungry and with that exotic sound weaving in and out - well - it just leaves me speechless?! This album is a super listen and can't be missed.
Unique, dreamy and passionate. Gorgeous!
Yeah this is pretty cool.
This was an exceptional, charismatic, atmospheric-al stylish, classy, elegant, dreamy, down tempo, ambient, nice expressed and felt, emotional, sensual, sexy even, dramatic, haunting, spooky even, sound-scape of compelling, enchanting, magical, tribal-ish music. That even had a didgeridoo, heard playing in most, or even all tracks, herd, that where fantastic, compelling, really enjoyable, jazzy, bluesy, musical delight of an bewitching album heard by me..Along with synthesiser, instrumental, piano, electronic, bass guitar. Feel this album take on a life of it own,and submerge yourself fully, into this intoxicating, maigcal, fulfilling, rays of live..
This is a very eclectic album of instrumentals, ranging from blues to electronic music. We hear not only guitars and synthesizers, but also a didgeridoo. Very colourful.
After listening to this album, I searched Jamendo for more of his music. Both this and his other album, Entranges Rencontres, offer a unique, quality music experience. Keep up the great work and thank you!
