Album description

Album very nice. The melodies of the songs are simple but very sensitive. The second part of the album becomes more lively and can be surprised but always with great sensitivity.

The songs that I liked the most are: Underwater Waltz, Nostalgia, In Retrospect, Life in a Cave, Saline S. Sonata, Chloroform For Your Ears (a true jewel), these songs seem to draw little naif paintings.

love this music– it has many different feels, so whatever I’m feeling, I can listen to it and it will match my mood. :) It’s just mellow enough. I found Ben’s Imaginary Band on one of my daily music looking-ups, and as soon as I heard it (and saw the name of the band, which I thought was funny :p) I fell in love with it. It’s wondrous, it’s indescribable…c’est le pied! Within the first day of listening (which was yesterday) I have told everyone I know who appreciates good music to look up Ben’s Imaginary Band. It’s just that awesome. :) I have to say it by far outshines the Shins at times, which is EPIC, because I love the Shins.
Anyway, I hope that more music is on the way, because I can’t get enough of it. Thank you for enlightening me with such angelic and beautiful lyric and song.

You can tell when someone does things for love of music, this album is an essential, excellent pop with touches of folk, each piece is a gem. Congratulations!

Ben! Very well done. Very soothing, relaxing music to listen to, which I enjoy.

Is it just me or do I feel like I'm somewhere else when I listen to your music?

I especially love Underwater Waltz. It's the perfect song for those moonlight dinners or dances with that special someone ;D

A definite must-download. You just gave me a new album to play over and over again while I sleep :)

Ben's voice is compelling, sweet, honest, heartfelt and oh so ethereal, and passionate, pleasing to my ears to sit back and simply check out and saviour, let alone enjoy. As you listen to his soothing,mellow,soft-ing, gentle, raw even, bewitching ways, with this marvellous, captivating, indie, pop, folk album. The lyrics are perfect, and suit his magical, irritable, voice of his heard here on this musical sound-scape. The music is gentle, stimulating and charismatically chilled,to make us feel so relaxed, at easy and at peace in this fast paced everyday world. let alone a dreamy s imaginative, delight album in general to check out and enjoy.

What a sweet, ethereal male voice on this album (Ben's I suppose). A wonderful pop/folk voice with a captivating guitar and an occasional piano. I find the name of his "Ben's Imaginary Band" intriguing and charming. This artist is an excellent poet, writing wonderfully profound and pensive lyrics.
I especially liked "Nostalgia in Retrospect"'s very old fashioned phonographical quality. "Saline S. Sonata" had some very melodic sighing and moaning which was rather unique and appealing.
His music overall is thought provoking and melancholic; emotionally dark to share your troubles with you if you are troubled, and feel as if you need someone to identify with. A very fine artist and very fine music.

I very much enjoyed the album as a whole. I feel that this album is a complete entity rather than a collection of individual songs that have little connection to one another, as so many albums are like these days. The flow of one song to the next is well done.

I just went to the public library the other day, scooped up about 15 albums that I was interested in, all by major artists, and none tickled my fancy -- all lacklustre and boring, yet here I listen to Ben's Imaginary Band's album and, hey, it's really good and worth listening to many times over; a breath of fresh.

I couldn't choose a favourite song as I'm enjoying the whole album so much that to extract a song here and there as being more favourable than the others would merely detract from the entire effort.
