sometimes at that...listen to music and thinking. I might feel, this needs a bit of vocals added to make it sound better or greater
But to hell...with that suggestion... on this album.
It simply does not need any at all.
As the music more that adequately, and makes up superbly for none being on it. As you really feel the heart and spirit and soul of this album..
Take you over and give you so much joy, satisfaction and sheer pleasure of hearing it all play. A sure cert of an ample entertainment of an album guaranteed on hearing and feeling it play to your heart and soul true, contentment. As I have just done. Everything is high caliber, exceptional compositions and beautiful done at that. Can not fault anything.
This music reminds me of Fontanelle, Bel Orchestre, and Bo Hansson.
I'd recommend people sampling this cd jump to track 3 if they're in the mood for something mellow, otherwise go to track 4. The first track is quite minimalist and the second kind of slow to build up, and while they go with the album as a whole quite nicely (just download it already!) they don't really showcase the amazing sounds this group has to offer.
I'm really looking forward to more!
It's not this... it's not that... and it's nothing and everything altogether. Sounds like everything I already heard, without recalling specifically of something I know. It's delightfully complex, yet astonishingly simple. It's extremely fetching, but insistently wanting to go unnoticed. It's a constant pleasure of discovery, yet still and always by the ways of containment.
What I mean, is that this album, is somehow a single and somewhat demanding creation, which require as well, a lot of curiosity, some persistence and a sort of diversified appetite... and undoubtedly, a one of a clearly superior quality.
I love this album! I will be donating shortly after this review. The production quality is great, the album feels coherent, the music is catchy but complex and varied, the talent is clearly there, the sound is unique... what else could you want? I guess the answer to that question is: make more music! Bottom line: SML rocks and if you don't think so, please take a moment and clean the funk out of your ears.
One of the best albums I have ever listened to. All of the songs are great. I love the variation on different melodies, and how Sweet Mother Logic substitutes voice with instruments. Stringed instruments produce very beautiful sounds, but in the hands of a good artist, can produce beautiful masterpieces. I cannot exaggerate when I say that this album is excellent, and the fact that it is Creative Commons allows me to say this, as I would not have spent ten dollars! I am considering donating to you, so continue making beautiful music!
