Pêche aux moules is the name for gathering mussels during the low-tide, which exists at the coast of Brittany (not only, of course). The Racoons used this symbol for the mixture of music coming from Ireland, Brittany, Scandinavia, Austria and Russia. Some music genres may be out of fashion, but when the sea is gone there is still something interesting in the sand!

==================================================================

I am a fan of Irish & Celtic folk music, and I was thrilled when I saw The Racoons on here...a Russian band that plays this type of music and sings in French, among other languages; that concept sounded great! I downloaded the album, gave it a listen and was beyond impressed! The majority of it is instrumental, which I love! One song toward the end is a polka, and it is fun! Please check this album out and support these guys. If we create enough of a momentum, maybe we can bring them stateside!

Terrific array of tunes interspersed by a few songs. Some are familiar, some not so familiar but all played exceptionally well.The dynamics and the choice of tunes to link up work very well and I can imagine this kicking up a storm live.My only critique would be to bring the vocal up a bit in the mix, that said this remains a solid listening experience.Excellent.
