There is only one complaint about this EP, clocking in at 5 tracks of 5 minutes or less each: There's not enough of it. But as that is the nature of an EP, one shouldn't hold it against this release. The sound is charming, nice singers, nice acoustic guitars. The dynamic between the slower, softer parts and the faster, driving parts works out nicely in all of the songs.
Should you have to answer the question "Have You Heard Of Shank Hill", as the first track asks, with a "No", you should certainly give this band a try.
