newage instrumental concept seasons reiki

Album description

This is a concept album, and its birth was triggered by an amusing challenge at FAWM.ORG I ran into in late January. There wasn't much time to think it over, so I started to compose 14 pieces of music and succeeded within 28 days. This EP is a compilation of those tracks, putting the emphasis on the flow of time.

My friend János Novák played the classical guitar in 'Any Tale the World Tells'.

'Rain Dancer' by rubyblossom is on the cover, under a creative commons license.

Soundwise very reminiscent of 80s new age synth music, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of sources such as the early works of Vangelis, William Orbit and even Ennio Morricone. The slightly quirky chill-out mood of A Sense of Autumn, the piano improvisation-over-Bladerunneresque-leads in Quiddity and the peaceful yet intensely emotional (and goose bump inducing, I have to admit!) solo piano theme of the title song being my personal favourites. A very relaxed, introspective, hauntingly melodic piece of work.

Musically well composed and put together.
Not sure what's missing, but it sounds a bit edgy at times. Anyway, the album shows a serious st of skills. And the acoustic Guitar on track two, really tells a story. Very nice, thanks for sharing.

Very pleasant and quite relaxing.
