Album description

de This text is not available in your chosen language, we are displaying it in its original language.
Indieca is the result of a few sessions at home.
Indieca is a wordgame between indie and indica ...
It includes 10 tracks
"big blue supernova", "oporto song" and "last trip" had been recorded at stud1o.de. Aditional guitar intro on "big blue supernova" & synths on "Last Trip", by Dennis T. The rest of the songs had all been recorded at home.
There are 3 "old" songs on the demo (indieca): "Sad Songs", "You told me" and "sorry for hating you"...well this ones doesn´t fit to the usual melanculia style I think, but maybe you like them.
My most recent songs where "sumertime" (which isnt already finished) und "darkriders".

Send me a feedback

Thx for listening

This lovely acoustic demo contains the songs of the Road to Me EP (which is no longer available on Jamendo) plus seven more tracks, with the artist's characteristic musical and vocal style.

The beautiful, haunting melodies (with many familiar echoes and references), passionate lyrics and accompanying guitar comprise an album very pleasant to listen to.

The voice sounds like Kurt Cobain for the most part but has a texture/colour of its own, which I think could be highlighted by exploring (and exploiting) a little more of its own potential.

I can only compare Melanculia's ability to express himself with his voice and instrument, particularly in the song 'You told me', to Patti Smith's. It's raw and I don't doubt that it's everything he can give. The stronger his delivery, the more imperfections in his performance arise which only serve to amplify the honesty he is most capable of sharing with listeners. It's something for similar artists to aspire to. This album proves that he is a very talented singer/songwriter.
