All I can say about Robin Grey, he is the type of guys, who was born to sing, and give so much pleasure and pure outstanding enjoyment, and total satisfaction guaranteed, when he just simply sings, his heart and soul out, for our pleasure and his also course. Just everything about his voice, poetic lyrics and visionary tales of bliss, fun and happiness and real live situations. Just inspires you and makes your heart glow and resonate as each of his exquisite songs. Flow graceful and bewitchingly into the next and another begins.. I just felt myself relax and totally unwind and bathe inside this adorable, carefree, beautifully composed, performed and produced tapestry of musical expression. Heard, felt and truly admired and appreciated by me the listener.

I truly have to say. Robin is that high a caliber singer and artist in general. Any album done by him. Would be sold out with an hour of being put into a mega high street music store. So we are undeniably very lucky to even get Robins albums for free here on Jamendo..

Awesomness.

I was first struck by the excellent production, the subtle additions of angelic female vocals- flutes, etc. great lyrics, seemlessly switching between talking and singing, with huge hints of Al Stewart, Belle and Sebastian, and if your very young, The Mumford bros. -but so much more listenable than the latter.

A fantastic positive for this website.

I LOVED this album! OK - I try to never ever rave about an album but I loved this guy when I heard him, Robin Grey, in his debut album, "Only The Missile," and it was spectacular, but as I listen to so many musicians here, I forget some as time goes by . . . and if no one reminds me . . . but I was bored, tonight, and I was browsing, and poking around in every nook and corner here on Jamendo and look what I discovered and dusted off to have a listen, and ---- OH be still my heart . . . I love his voice. I love his strumming, strolling guitar. "The Suitors Ballyhoo" had an extraordinary violin that just seemed to float in through the ether . . . and tunes so catchy I, myself, am singing along . . . The sound quality is superb, extraordinary folk, great stories . . . beautiful, beautiful . . . shhh . . .let me listen now. OH and if he came anywhere near my town, say 1,000 miles I probably would fly out to see and hear him . . . Where are you Robin Grey?

And that violin in "Roses from Africa" just broke my heart . . . such beauty!

Anspieltipps: I Love Leonard Cohen
The Suitors Ballyhoo
Roses From Africa

I liked the variety of sound and great lyrics. Word play a bit repetitive at times. lovely instrumentation.

Remarkably good work!
I wouldn't compare Robin Grey with anyone else.
The album is very relaxing to listen to, perfect for a winter evening. Thank you Mr Grey!

Yet another good album from Robin Grey - so good, in fact, that I've awarded it the dubious honour of a Catching The Waves review. That's two out of two! :)
