More or less the same comments as regarding de Massia's first album apply.
Thierry de Massia is quite a talented composer. Unfortunately, on his albums cheap synthetic sounds imitate real instruments so poorly that ugliness of the sound kills any fun one could have from listening to nice melodies. In my opinion he should limit himself to composing only and give his score to a real band or to a person who is properly equipped and knows how to use synthesizers.
This album is more "classical" than "Shift" and is less influenced by the electronic sound of the 80s. And it is very unfortunate, because de Massia's electronic tunes sound better. They are extremely unoriginal, but at least the artist does not try to achieve the classical sound. Therefore ugly synthetic sounds can be tolerated and in fact they even give this "poor 80s" feeling that can be treated as done on purpose. On this album only tracks "The soldier", "Bad news" and "The last mission" fall into this category and are quite nice if one doesn't mind lack of originality. The best of them is definitely the track one - "The soldier".
The rest in their present form is practically unlistenable (e.g. try to listen "3 Lullaby for one unknown father" - even a piano is HORRIBLE, not to say about a guitar or strings). The ears bleed and the mind cries for mercy.
