That there is an admixture of influences is apparent from the outset, that it seems in the first track more than obvious. Such is the first Chapter. Chapter II gets off to a great start, with an interesting rhythmical structure, with strong guitar with which the sound could overwhelm but doesn't because of the variations and breaks. Nicely balanced and presented. That it should be this way, expressing those emotions and desires, etc. which are sometimes so close and yet, at other times, seeming so disparate. The musical fusion in Chapter III manages to stretch over that bipolarity and encompass the range in a very creative way, reminiscent of Buckethead, from what I can remember. Nice range of creative expression displayed in the formation. And there's more with Chapter IV, milder and less angry but still powerful.
Rock sound predominates in Chapter V, with a burbling underlayer of synthetics. Then there is an electronic interlude before returning to the powerful grunt of electrickery. Nice track, still think IV is my favourite so far, but all good. Chapter VI presents itself differently, almost staggering like a drunk it falls well without injuring itself, so in a way somewhat relaxed. Like this one as well. Hard choice now already to pick out a favourite, good sign. Chapter VII, tinkers with that speedcore style, like a variegated ivy, it creeps over you and engulfs your senses. Chapter VIII continues the intensity that emotionality demands from the abyss of sadness to the mountainous apex of outrageousness. I think the intention, according to the preamble was achieved, though the fusion focuses more on rock than electronic, which covers it for the industrial tag sufficiently. Good one. Give me a rec when Volume 2 is out please?
