Album description

"die, welche [beim dreschen] die garben schlägt", ist in der griechischen mythologie eine toten-, unterwelt- und fruchtbarkeitsgöttin.
...ebenfalls ist das persephone ein fingerboard analogue synthesizer (ribbon controller), der hier bei den tracks eine wichtige rolle spielt.

Don't be misled by the first track, which is pure rock/metal. The others are electronic tunes, but with a rock feeling and a dark mood. They are very good, but it's no. 1 - persephone, which is a true masterpiece. A must-hear for every hard rock or metal fan.

The first track is a nice rocky little road. Plutoed is an eccentric relative of the first track for sure. Lives up that rocky road, see? Really nice dreamy track, with some wonderful turns of synth. Digistorm is a shower of particles, some of which are barely discernible, others represented by longer wavelengths.

The Forgotten One is a whiplashing soliliquy, nice and dark. Reverberations of loneliness. Obscured is how my view usually is, so this kind of music suits me well enough, electro does rock, but can rock do electro. Enough said but then I am also an inveterate epistemologist about these things.

Absinthe, life as it endeth when drinketh too much of the stuff. There is a time and a place perhaps for such an inebriated hallicinogenics, and I suspect that the people who will appreciate this music, and life indeed itself, better than someone who might refrain. Opinion is perspectival, subjective and a signpost into your spirit. But, as the last track says, Everything Failed Wrong, and the ontologists win out to sustain an unsustainable system for their own good. I blame greed, not just for money, but for status. Everybody wants to be a star.

Great... isn't so good after all and time will tell. Seasonal greetings!-)

Overall, I thought it was an excellent album, even with the 'misleading' leading track. As far as it being rock, I've heard better, but it suited the album if you look at it from the other end. Let the imagination wander and wonder what living in a true democracy really is like. Confusing and monumental amounts of paperwork no doubt.

First, the positive aspects...

The title track of this album is actually quite good: a really dark feel it from start to it's unfortunately abrupt finish. Featuring a catchy lines, it's well programmed and despite the drums sounding a little too low and the synth a little too high in the mix, fairly well mastered.

Unfortunately, that's where I run out of good things to say about this album.

The rest is, quite frankly, banal. Gone are the guitars and, apart from a smattering of down beat percussion in Digistorm, the drums are absent too.

The soundscapes we're left with were reminded me of just about every release on the Cold Meat Industry label: interminable tuneless droning.

If you like dark ambient soundscapes, which I have to confess are not my thing, then perhaps you may enjoy this album, but if you don't then take my advice: don't bother with anything except the 1st track.

Very dark, excellent metal here. Wish there was someone screaming at me from beyond the grave, "HEY MOTHER FUCKER!!! LISTEN TO ME!!! I'M STILL ALIVE!!! THERE IS NO DEATH!!! THERE IS NO DEATH!!! THERE IS NO DEATH!!!"
