My new homestudio setup
Urban areas, cityscapes and city ambience has always been a sort of inspiration for me. So I guess that this album wolud be best when you're listen to it on your iPod/Walkman while walking through city streets, driving the night drive, stepping on rainy, empty street. At least, these were blurry images I had in mind while creating this pieces ... The news is that I really tried to discipline myself in terms of using simpler harmonies, lesser notes, lesser tones and instruments, minimalistic ideas in order to let them breathe and have their space in this mind trip.

Personally I dislike boundaries of any kind, so naturally, being a musician and composer I find myself most comfortable inside the niche of electronic music, mainly because of vast array of virtual and physical electronic devices that can produce sound made from digital information and electricity. There's also very rich sound palette that makes production of desired musical ideas possible. I found that musical ideas are like strings of fabric that are being used in process of weaving a rich audible textures. Generally sepaking, thare are countless opportunities to express my ideas in terms of rhythm, dynamics, harmony and melody when. I really like this freedom. Off course, I don't want to get lost in that freedom so I'm really trying to stay focused and to become aware when things are done. The process of making music has always been my driver, my trigger, my passion. The joy of creating something new that haven't been here before, something that hasn't been heard before and the fact that it's coming from our imagination makes it incomparable to any other activity in life. I believe that during this process some of this creative energy and feelings being produced by it are being stored inside musical information itself. This information would become useless unless other consciouss beings can use it. Listening to the music, this energy is being released while our brains are decoding the musical information by entertaining themselves with quite unique brainwaves. This makes great opportunity to the listener to build and exlpore his own soundscapes and proves that music is a perfect medium for sharing our gift and musical messages with the world.
I'm really looking forward to see your review and hear your opinion about this album.
Kind regards,
Fortadelis
