Loneliness is unexpected when in a place of vigorous activity, a city would obviously stand out as such, at least. And, therein is a further surprise, that despite (and to some degree because) of that activity, a different sense of exalted being may arise. Serenity and peace, amidst the teetering chaos. Noise in its manifold forms and expressions takes a big chunk of being in company away, like any other distraction. Now and then, a stronger link gets forged, just for a sense of perspective. Then, other senses come into play. When you are looking up at a skyscraper, there's a pretty good chance you are looking into the sun as well. Somewhere there are secret paths of surviving. That's the impulse and reliance of solitude.
So much for that! I think the point with this album, is that it is about light and sunshine. It is bright and nicely constructed around this burning orb of a thematic feel. That overall impression seems to be shared. I will just stick it out where I am. The variegated chaos of the shadows and imaginative play of the dark, I find more fascinating. More for kaos, less for order. Which gives these tracks a sense of purposive order, just not a view I care to share. Antface sums it up in one word, Electrovulturism! Nothing more need be said (sorry for going on:). Don't forget your sun (s)cream!
