PROPUESTA MUSICAL

Aló Django ofrece un concierto con un amplio abanico de géneros musicales traducidos al estilo de los gitanos centroeuropeos mezclado con el jazz: el gypsy swing, un estilo lírico, alegre y acústico cuyo máximo representante es el mítico guitarrista Django Reinhardt.

Además Aló Django crea un show divertido más allá de lo estrictamente musical, con la presencia del claquet y la interactuación cómica con el público, hilando así música con géneros escénicos de entretenimiento como el cabaret o el music-hall, de donde vienen parte de sus integrantes.

Estas claves, acústico y cómico, junto con este estilo musical agradable y comercial dentro del mundo del jazz, hacen de Aló Django una apuesta ideal para salas de pequeño y mediano formato, donde la cercanía del público crea el ambiente ideal de nuestro show.

BIOGRAFÍA DEL GRUPO

Aló Django nace en el año 2007 por la voluntad de Ramón Orencio y Xabier Mera, guitarras y voces, de ofrecer un concierto divertido con swing como banda sonora. Se sumaron como plantilla fija los violinistas Quim Fariña y Xacobe Lamas, el contrabajista Alfonso Calvo y la mejor claquetista de Galicia, Gail Brevitt.

El proyecto está recibiendo muy buena acogida por parte del público y salas de Galicia, las cuales han depositado su confianza en nosotros al programarnos este año en gran número a través de la red institucional gallega RGMV (Rede Galega de Músicos ao Vivo), así como en la red institucional portuguesa Outonalidades; ha participado además en festivales de jazz en Galicia como el Burgojazz y ha sido escogido para eventos institucionales como la Gala de Teatro Radiofónico de la RTVG (Radio Televisión de Galicia), la gala Revelando Voces del Ayuntamiento de Santiago o la entrega de premios del Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes Cortocircuito. Todo ello sugiere que Aló Django está preparado para presentarse ya en la escena musical del resto de la península, como lo demuestra su inclusión en el ciclo Artistas en Ruta 2010, promovido por la A.I.E. (Asociación de Intérpretes y Ejecutantes) que llevará a Alo Django de gira por la geografía nacional (Barcelona, Madrid, Badajoz, Toledo, Ciudad Real,...) durante el 2010.

Fun.. Happiness & Good Times....

Oh yeah.. toe tapping, sheer goodness, from start to end on this fun, very entertaining, catchy, cool,jazzy,swing,gypsy album.That is brimming over with happiness, frolics and great times, Let alone,will make you feel like getting your dancing shoes on. As you will not be able to sit still. Listening to this cracker.

I like the acoustic sound of the guitar with the classic vocal. I like the different tempos the artist combined into one song. It makes for a fun listen that gives the toes something to tap along with.

I'm SO glad some of the classics on here were fine for performance. You really get the feel of them, as you're meant to.

My only complaint with this album is that some of the solos sound more like a hoe-down (you'll find out which ones if you listen), but other than that, you can't avoid how catchy this is. Great lead vocals, by the way!

What a fun album. Simple and earnest, lots of energy. These guys sound like they'd be a blast live; it's clear everyone involved is having a lot of fun. Their I've Got Rhythm is particularly charming, as is their L-O-V-E (or should I say A-M-O-R?) -- I look forward to seeing more from this group.
