Distrubance. Rare "Golden Oldies" saved from c-casettes, dat-tapes and old harddrives. Just counterplay it very loud next time your neighbour downstairs is banging the roof with the broom.
Some words about the songs...
Silent One was done few months after the four first songs in the Ambience Session album. Actually I tried to continue the theme of the Magician Clayish in High Voltage Transformer, but I partly lost the grip and got into something else. Something like voodoo from steam pipes. However, I was satisfied.
Of course I had to show people the flip side of the Silent One too. It became Silent Another.
Henna Dos will speak for itself. Dos is not abbreviation of denial of service or disk operating system. Neither dentists of society.
Crossnoise is a, eh, hiphop-ambient-trance-something that has definitely rocked up the mood flying in every party about 10 years ago. This rhythmic collection of noise I composed with Parametric. Half the credits to him. Thanks Al.
Camel Boost is the only song I have touched afterwards on this album. It was originally supposed to be Moontra 2, but it failed. I listened it now and it just sounded as dry as camel's rear, so I had to add the water. I made some changes, and now it is Camel Boost - It's Raining mix.
Moontra. If I really have to describe this song somehow, let's say It's the main theme of the Disturbance.
I remember when I was composing Solkä. I had broken headphones. I guess someone had stepped on it or something. Anyway this song was made by chasing the funny resonance they made in certain frequencies.
Then I bought new headphones and just to make sure they are better than the old ones, I made a pair for the Solkä called Cckä. This one sounded also funny in my old subwoofer. Funny magic piano. I can't recall when or where or how did I play it...
Then there are only two songs left to introduce: Fartetti and Pianussimo. Some kind of "my old favourites" - I don't know why I like these very special. They are just nostalgic for me somehow...
However, these are old and rusty songs made late 90's or in other words 10 years ago. About same time as the two previously published: TeddyBear Trilogee and Ambience Session. I just didn't dare to mix&master any track anyhow (except the Camel Boost just a little bit) - so don't expect too high quality and don't ruin your hi-fi stack. I still hope you like what you hear.
Sincerely yours,
Ben Akusto
I like to hear a bit of strength in ambient electronica, so i really like this compilation.
It's not pure ambient. At least it's not so simple and quiet as typical ambient tunes are.
Nevertheless it's a very very good album. It's not rusty at all, but colorful and brilliant.
