Album description

es This text is not available in your chosen language, we are displaying it in its original language.

Mi first album, a set of minimalism songs. Recorded with little resources but much ilusion in my house, Toy Trains is a look back to my childhood, and the little memories I keep through the routine, work, responsibilities and all the burdens of us, adults... A nostalgic view of a happier epoch.

The cover art is courtesy of Betsy Jean (Thanks, Betsy!). You can reach her page and the original pic in www.flickr.com/photos/betsyjean79/397404716/, along with her art.

The songs "Una tarde de otoño vista a través de la ventana" and "casi un grito de rabia" include a radio sample taken from the "Texas Radio Theatre Company". You can reach the original sample and his other sounds http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/index.php searching for "FreqMan".

This is a beautiful album--quiet and thoughtful. The tunes, which aren't really as simple as the first seem, are actually little rhapsodies. Very sweet, and a little sad.

J'ai vraiment apprécié cet album : doux, mélodieux, comme on aimerait en écouter plus souvent.
Je dirais : magnifique !
à écouter sans modération car il nous réconcilie avec le monde extérieur.

Heaven has just open it's pearly gates and lets us in to hear this enchanting, magical, stimulating, euphoric, classical, minimalistic piano, ambient, instrumental, soundtrack, post-rock, music come flooding out towards us mere mortals on earth. As you listen all your troubles and woes, just disappear and leave you for good. You feel renewed and alive, with this perfect, atmospheric-al, compelling, inspirational music really get inside you and touch you deep within. The vocals just seemed to make the experience more worth while... I'm shocked and truly blown away, at the expressions of beauty this man can project within his astounding, charismatic, charming musical expressions he can compose and share with us all in this world and on Jamendo at large..

When I started to listen to this album. The 2nd and the 3d tracks sounded very similar to Yann Tiersen, I like his music and thus I was very enthusiastic. However my enthusiasm went down and down with every track and expired completely towards the end. All the compositions sound pretty much the same, like a variation of "Comtine D'un Autre Ete", nothing really moves, at least not in a good direction. The attempt to insert various background noises wasn't successful as well.
I found these compositions to be too labored and artificial. Track #7, a hybrid between the Moonlight sonata, Amélie soundtrack and God knows what - convienced me completely. The playing technique is also quite novice-like. Man, you should be more gentle with the keyboard, it's not a drum.
