Album description

Here it is, the much anticipated third EP, albeit the first official release, from Afghan Banana Stand. Truly a fruit of hard labor - that's what she said - the entire album was recorded in a single, grueling twelve hour session. All six songs are originals and now staples of the live show.

Track Breakdown:
1) Salvia - True story involving the band and the hallucinogenic, Salvia Divinorum...enough said
2) Lulu - One of two songs that were re-recorded for the album, also one of the first songs the band ever composed. If anything this song solidifies the band's reputation as a wholesome family act in that like The Beatles they write about their friends.
3) Bloody Saturday Night - In the words of lead singer/lyricist Vinton Whitcomb, "I wrote this song when I was mad."
4) Nuke the Whale, Save the Beer - Also known as "Nuke the Whales," and "Bong Hits 4 Jesus," this track has surprisingly proven to be the biggest hit although the official title has nothing to do with the actual song. True story about the United States Supreme Court case (see, the band can be mature too).
5) Patterson Hill - Also based on a true story regarding a certain band member who will not be mentioned. Trivia: When you play the song back wards, between 2:00 and 1:15 you can here two subliminal messages.
6) Polygamy Jimmy - So far the most controversial song off the album for unbeknownst reasons to the band. In the words of bassist Aaron Mitchell, "Note to self: Do not play this at a kids' park," which the band has already done.

This is old-school punk -- no need for good vocals or great guitar. Just be angry and play, damn it! This would be a lot beeter with another, stronger vocalist.
