This is a welcome diversion to listen to. While not accustomed to music of this type, it was very enjoyable. So many mental scenes were created in my mind while listening to this.

Would really like to know/hear more of where Irfan comes from; what country etc.

I will be awaiting more!

Be well

The acoustic instruments, the flute, the chanting/singing vocals all combined to make an eminent, refreshment from the heat of the day . . . one is transported to an exotic land, floating above the fray . . . released from the pressures of life. Peacefulness, calm descends on the heart of the being listening to the music . . . the eyes look to distant things, a reverie perceiving only hope and faraway dreams within the reach of realization. Beautiful!

haaaaa..... Dead Can Dance.... memories...
Well, i think it's a good album... but it sounds a lot like Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry's work, which it's quite disturbing for me. I can feel, for example, that the female voice try to mimic Lisa Gerrard style (with a lot of talent, i have to say).
But, hey, not easy to avoid the influence of this incredible band when you play this kind of music, i guess.
Anyway, good album, you really have a lot of potential, for sure.

Okay, so it's hard to write a review about this album without referencing Dead Can Dance, because it is very similar. Nevertheless, that does not detract from what is a very enjoyable album. We need more of this type of music anyway.

a cry echoes across the valleys
through out the cities
the mountains . . . the seas . . .
like a field of sun flowers
all facing the sun
a thousand voices unite
and become to the gods as one . . .
a song is driven by the spirit
and played by the angels on drums . . .
deep in the red lit caves
one voice echoes . .. like a heart beat . ..
dripping with ebony blood . . .
we stand over the craggy canyon
with wings of tattered gauze . . .
and lifting them above our heads
in faith we take the plunge . . .
deep into our valley
deep into our doom . ..
the darkness enshrouds us forever
when we are done . .
we rest in peace ..

Delightfully exotic music, reminiscent of bands like Dead Can Dance. Also, unlike a lot of music of this genre, it manages to be alive, without sounding the dull way a lot of New Age music sounds.

Let me say that's a good work with voices. The music have a touch of church atmospher and sometimes mystic world. Generally is a good passion to make such music and combinations of acoustics. This work can used in some kind of movies where mysterious things are the question to answer. Great work.
