A great atmospheric, catchy, diverse, pop, folk, acoustic, jazz, percussion, album with great solid vocals, and fantastic electronic guitar player.

A very powerful recording. I recommend it to every fan of intelligent rock music (I don't like a word "alternative" - who said crap is "regular" and good music is "alternative"?). I love the way everything is mixed on this album - an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, great percussion work, a Jew's harp, great female vocals, traces of jazz, instrumental improvisations.

Oh, and one more thing - this whole "folk" thing. This album has nothing to do with folk music. Use of an acoustic guitar and a Jew's harp doesn't turn something into folk. I wonder if these "folks" ;-) that tag it as "folk" listened to a single one folk album in their life. I doubt it.

For some reason the female singer reminded me of Curved Air's Sonja Kristina whom my father adored.I liked this. I liked (nay loved )this singer's pithy, hazy vocal style....so eclectic...so fabulously low-key. As for the tremendous axe playing I was spellbound, held by the artistry.. the proverbial bunny in the headlights. This was over way too soon.

I'd listened to and reviewed their earlier album, so the band invited me to give this one a listen.

It's excellent. It has hand percussion instead of a more standard drum kit, but the rhythms are superb and I would rank this album as being even better. It feels like they've settled more into their sound and also the production is a bit better.

I give it a definite 10.

Great stuff, and I hope that they are working on more of their excellent music!

An acoustic folk album with touches of blues, jazz and Latin rhythms. The singers voice sounds a bit like Cat Power but with a higher pitch. At times there are also hints of Dolores O'Riordan in the way she modulates her voice.

I found the album even more enjoyable on the second listen and it is now one of my favorites.
