Wow... oh yeah man.. this is loud, proud and in your face. f......king fantastic, excellent, rock, blues, hard soulfilled music. With guys voice, that will blow you mind and send you into to euphoria heaven. As its strong, striking, energetic, passionate and hearteningly brilliant. With great tracks, and good lyrics and music that makes you want to tap your foot in time to the beats. And a nice, powerful acoustic guitar melody and a neat drummer as well heard. God Oh Mighty these guys.. Are outstanding. I bet to god.. they are out of this world.. when it comes to live shows.. going by this album. I simply need more from these guys.. NOW.. THIS ALBUM IS NOT ENOUGH.. EVEN THOU THIS IS A TRULY A KEEPER AND A FOR SURE CERTAIN A DOWNLOADER AS WELL. KEEP ON MOVING AND SHAKING.. AND HAVING FUN.. OH YEAH.. I SURELY WILL BE....

THIS is exactly why Jamendo totally rocks... this is a raw, gritty, and totally satisfying rock/blues album, the way they used to be made! It's a throwback to a time when artists could actually sing and play instruments, unlike too many of the 'pop' people today. The nicely raw edge reminds me of some of the absolute greats from the late 60s/ early 70s.

Keep it up like this, and I'm a fan for life!

Remember when you first heard the White Stripes and thought you liked them, but weren't sure quite why? Then you heard them again and that didn't matter because you realised that they're just awesome? Well, prepare to be amazed again by Hot Fiction. The White Stripes comparisons are obvious - there's two members, the drummer has long hair (but I don't think they've got the whole brother-sister/married/divorced thing going on) and they play bluesy rock.
It might not be 100% original, but very little, if anything, is these days. The low fi recording adds so much down and dirty atmosphere to the album. The songs themselves are pretty well constructed, and provide an excellent platform for what's to come. Vocalist Andy's range is perfect for the record, and it's a real pleasure to some great blues-rock talent coming from the UK.
The album serves as the perfect fodder for their fun and exciting live shows, which is something you should be experiencing soon.

Wow, these guys sound like they had a LOT of fun making this album. The arrangements are loose, a sign of the the familiarity of the members with each other's style of play. The playing can only be described as controlled chaos; the singing, as well. The vocals mesh well with the chunky blues chords.

I hear Mountain, Deep Purple, Grand Funk Railroad, The White Stripes, early Zeppelin. Great start. I hope to hear more by these guys.

Well, this is some of my favorite genre, rocking blues . . . The male voice on this album had a haunting quality and the guitar was handled with experience. Occasionally I heard a harmonica, and I am always in love with the harmonica .. . especially in "Autumn Girl." This is music to rock away the evening to . . . perfect for dancing or listening at a party . . . pure pleasure.

A two piece with huge amount of grunt. The heavy base gave my speakers a workout. Looking forward to a replay. Vocalists voice has great range and nasty edge to it! I just want your body is very catchy (sorry to say:) Start it off is mind blowing - yeeee haaaa!

I don't know do I have any rational comment on this album right now... I'm just too happy dancing to it. The sound is -well this is a first for me to use this adjective- hot. It's the sort of music that can get a claustrophobic person to go to a club to dance. This defenitely has a permanent place on my mp3-player.

I haven't had this much enjoyment from an album for a long time. I can only imagine seeing these guys live would be a night out to remember.
