Alexander Blu has done some pretty nice work in those ten years. The music on this album is charming, relaxing, and graceful. A refined touch was used to draw out these melodies with the mixes of instruments he has incorporated into his songs. He also used some pretty interesting sound effects to add story to his songs as in "Man with long hair." I really liked "Moderato" with its contemporary dance beat and gentle melody and the full orchestral feel of "Slow Mind." My favorite of course was "Teacher" with its full blown powerful beat and intellect. Well, I probably liked that one because I am a teacher. So?! Blu's music is painted in broad brush sweeps, with cool, non-clashing colors, no discordance and with clean layers so as not to dilute the melodies. Each sound layer has its impeccable position in the musical canvas and is well thought out (i.e. listen to the sound layers in "East"), meticulous and deliberate, but in an artistic, poetic way. What was it that put the smile on my face with the songs "Electro blues" and "Instrumental"? A gifted artistic talent. And next time I'm blue I will listen to "Childhood" and "New day" both very uplifting. Wow, I enjoyed this entire album!
