Nice billowing synthetic sounds, that settle down into a form amidst the apparent chaos. The form it takes is still a bit fuzzy around the edges, but manifests itself well enough to be able to follow the flow. Of Wombats and Other Small Creatures suggests those curious phyla that incorporate strange creatures as the platypus etc. Unique in their isolation. Discussion of evolution (or lack of it) looms on the horizon, so I will sidestep and stick with the positive vibrations that the music encourages. Tastes Gamey, is quite a light dish on the top end, delicately balanced on a sound foundation. Still the haziness of dog days persists, and perhaps that has what has coloured the flavour.

Undown retains the atmosphere created thus far. However the upper layers seem to scale heights to escape the heat. Quite busy in construction, it takes a breather and seems to become slightly more focused. Almost as if it is nearing a summit. Then, onto the title track, Fugue State seems a bit tighter, almost has a dub feel to it. Nice electronica that retains interest. The central part, if not theme, seems to be another formation of chaos, in terms of memories and tenuous linkages, to leave you lost in the labyrinth of the mind, with only a life-sustaining beat to mark the passage of time.

Trans(fuse) again, begins with a soft and gentle confusion of the senses, overwhelming as that can be. The gush of noise, like the transposition of fluids comes over as either being acceptable or up for rejection by the body's physiology. This is a track of experimental noise manipulation. I actually found it quite soothing, though I doubt many will take it on board as being a valid exposition of creativity. There seems to be an overall connection with things physical and at a fairly fundamental level. Interesting listening, though like I said a touch fuzzy for the most part and Fugue State seems to capture the essence perfectly.
