Album description

it This text is not available in your chosen language, we are displaying it in its original language.
The ten songs included in their first album “Points of View” are in fact an explosive synthesis of post-metal, rock and electronics sonority. Experimentation and personal emotions are the guidelines of every composition: feelings and interior visions are the starring expressed through the aggression of their metal attitude and through the introspection inspired by the experimentation. Simple, sharp, but never banal, Convergence music try to hit the listener, aiming to his essential emotions. Maybe is in live shows where Convergence better express their musical attitude, through their intense and involving exhibitions.

Nu-metal in its heart, but compensates somewhat by throwing creativity, passion and slightly strange influences into the fray. Songs are straight-to-the-point, apart from curious dabblings in samples and EQ trickery. Verse-chorus-verse-chorus, and cut. Lack of useless repetition within songs, which is good. It's fluid. Not as versatile as it advertises itself to be, "an explosive synthesis of post-metal, rock and electronics sonority", with its main attraction just the continuously repeating (10 times, to be exact) angst-ridden nu-metal shtick. There's one electronic song surprise towards the end, but it's too little and too late (and invariably angsty nonetheless). You get a pretty good impression of the whole album by listening the first few songs. Mainly recommended if you're a fan of the genre.

Yep, I was one of those kids who would play with a radio, wandering through the wave lengths. I think I got an E.T.I. transmission once, but didn't understand it then, but I need it now. There something disturbed in this, a disruption in the rock sound. It's got some guts for sure, although it has the odd tender moment. There is an element of convergence for sure, and it is essetially it's almost as if the same temperament is applied however the track tries to hide it. There's a lot of power when it is being powerful and it is done well, but you got to dress it right. Strangely enough the track that caught my ear was Silent, it was better balanced than some of the tracks maybe. The synthetic element works better for the artist, than the plaintive guitar work up necessarily does. It used to be my attitude to a car or a bike, why have a bike that will do 150 if you're going to only do it once in a while, you ride the bike like you'd be happy to do so, as if it really mattered how you went. Now you are just a number in a list of casualities. So, all-in-all there were some really good moments in here and I say it works better when you wind that throttle right up. Be interesting to see which way it will go.

The track "Strike The End" was enough to convince me.

I find similarities with Tool, but "Points Of View" change (;P) in songs like "Six Feet Under", "Always The Same" and "Nothing Else", maybe more old school metal style.

Energic and fresh. Good taste and style overall. Good work.

Good rocking music - but listening always made me think i hear some other band - not original enough yet maybe not all music has to be original i gave 7 intead of the 6 i planed to give just for that thoght - some times you just wanna rock

This has to be my favorite album on Jamendo so far. I like, how others have said, that you don't completely rip off another band's style. Points of View has a varying sound but you can pull it off well. I liked the use of piano in Six Feet Under.

The mixing and production quality is near professional level, which is very impressive for a first album. There is always room for improvement though. I personally think the vocals were a bit too far back in the mix, behind the instruments in general.

Overall it was a great album, I'll definitely check out any new music you put out.

I am very impressed by this album. I can only describe how it was put together as professional and of very high quality.

I also notice that the band has their unique style, and don't seem to depend on the style of any other groups.

It's unfortunate that I do not have a specific favorite song, but the album overall: rocks.

Since this Album was recommended to me I had a listen, although I usually not listen to Metal, and de fact that this style of "singing" is not my thing, the "linking Park" - Style Chorus Singing is OK.
The album really is very professional crafted, Mixing and Mastering are Pro, the Songs are interessting and variedly.
If you like this Kind of Music, give it a listen.
