A curious start and slow, seemingly random development. However, therein is formation slowly congealing into a palatable arrangement. Mysterious as it may seem, so too the endless fractal coastline of an island and no less fascinating. In fact weird really sells itself well here. I love it immensely, a kind of fragmented jazz feel, with wonderful instrumentation. And, I'm still on the first track of listening and getting with the program. Integrating well into my ears and soul. Nice stuff, and pleasantly unique. A fine experience as far as hearing is concerned. That was Below This Sneppah.
A hard act to follow perhaps, but instantly I know it is going to be achieved, with an apparent innate skill of delivery and expression. Advantages in Freeform Breeding is simply fantastic, as far as being an array of sound and rhythm combined so artfully well and thoroughly distinctive from the crowd indeed. Without doubt, worth a listen, just for the learning experience. Truly part of the ever-increasing vanguard of wonderful new music that is appearing, throughout the various outlets that simply have to stay available. At worst it goes underground, but either way it must subsist. I insist, if no one else does (and I know there are many, though maybe slightly fewer for the right reasons).
Aspirin Age begins with a mellow introduction, slowly lowering you into its beautiful soundscape. Like being roped down into a huge underground cavern of untold treasures to behold with the limitations of the human comprehension. Three minutes in it softly and elegantly implodes into a breathtaking arrangement of masterful crafting. Superb is not a big enough word to cover these bases of musical creativity. Truly wonderful. I am staggered by the physical effect this is having on me, as with other music, in its own way, but this needs to be said particularly in this case. Genuinely magical stuff that connects on more than the acoustic level. There is something between the sounds, that speaks volumes unheard, but assimilated nonetheless.
The Milkey Way - Yivli Minare, again a subtle flow of energy, but so powerfully poetic in its expression and modus operandi. It is not even reliant on making you feel like you are floating in space, it is much more effective than playing the outer space card, this is about inner space, a place where many fear to tread the thin thread of self-awareness and accountability. This kind of music answers your questions before they have even formed in your consciousness, be that what it may. Stupendously brilliant. Just being able to listen to this, makes it all worthwhile. It is that good, and I can only speak intuitively from my heart. That is how all art should be. Inspirational, moving, touching.
The Milkey Way - Thermessos, brings you back down to earth with some excellent instrumentation and you may feel surprise at how far you had delved within listening to the previous track. This is better than any form of recreational drug that I have known, and there have been a few. Music that gives you a high naturally is something curiously achieved. Is there some sort of subliminity going on? Is there a magical chord arrangement being put into play, or some soft whispering of coercion, encouraging me to wax lyrical? I don't know, and even if so, don't mind. It is well worth a listen, all things being subjective of course.
To finalise this magical, musical adventure we have the oddly nominated Virtual Baggy Pants. There is still the fine sense of accomplishment, but there also seems to be a bit of the tongue-in-cheek element to it, which if so, just makes it all the more endearing as an exemplary array of truly avant garde musical creativity. This music doesn't deserve a mere record deal, it deserves to rule the world and I feel confident that it would change the very atmosphere itself. Causing reformation and deindustrialisation of the entire globe we suffer to live on. Give this a listen and let it make your day a better one. It did for me, and I always speak from the heart. I could have just said 'brilliant', but look what it's made me do!-) Thank you for sharing, from the bottom of my soul and all through my chakras.
