This band gives an interesting twist to the postrock genre: one finds here some of the elements that are common to much postrock music (repeated meoldic motifs, found sounds and unexpected snippets of sampled conversation), but the instrumentation is more acoustic and the overall vibe more mellow and less dark than one finds in most postrock music. At times, this album sounds like postrock music as performed by folk musicians--and I mean that in the best way possible! The level of musicianship is quite high (the music slips out of time on occasion, but I assume that that is intentional on the part of the performers.) Bravo!
Standout tracks: "Jim Was Right," "Une nuit sans Fin," "Sans Masque," "Relecture de 'Hunted by a Freak" (interesting interpretation of the Mogwai masterpiece),
