Album description

Kataribe means storyteller in Japanese. This piece was composed by Missa Johnouchi - the Japanese composer, pianist, conductor and singer.

Short story was composed about 10 years ago, I can't do such things nowadays.

The track For Danielle performed initially on kalimba was published in the album Instrumental Works

Audio quality of the music offered on Jamendo in best case reaches 190 kbps, which is quite reasonable for evaluational purposes but definitely not enough to experience the richness of original sound (1411 kbps). If you'd like to feel how this music sounds for real you can obtain a lossless FLAC version of this album on my website.

I felt really lucky, let alone blessed to have heard and felt and to have shared in the amazing beauty, peace and love, that was held inside this perfectly divine, inspirational, heartfelt, so sincere album. As not everyone in life is lucky to have had a good upbringing as a child. Some got abused or mistreated or hurt or punished or where made to feel ashamed for being alive. And I can truly without doubt. Say your album. gave me such much peace, happiness and joy. Let alone love that banished all those terrible feelings I had as a child. Bless you and thank you for such an amazing gift to share with anyone in this big world.

The first one is my favorite song. I've listened to it three times already. These songs are beautiful.

Beautiful, evocative tunes played on real instruments. Made me think of my kids when they were babies. When I was a baby I lived next to Heathrow Airport in London, wasn't quite the same for me.

A nice little 'gem of sound' to find on Jamendo!!The little theme of telling a story is a nice touch, You can just imagine a narrator over the top ... "Once upon a time , far far away, in a land time forgot ... " just a bit on the short side , love to hear more !

Ok, I am a bit biased, since I have always loved Metallophone as instrument, so naturally, to find a metallophone solos album is quite an awesome thing, but in this case is even better because of the grace of the performance and the beauty of the melodies. The album is short, which is the perfect thing, since you finish it longing for more, without trace of that very remote feeling of tireness that you might get after listening an endless 70 minutes album of some solo instrument. Beautiful, brief, concise, to the point... and as an extra addition, if you happen to have a baby at home, it makes an incredibly good sleeping music (no pun intended, honest! :-)
