Breathin' Again

The band can play. The girl can sing. And it sounds good ! If you like gothic rock I definitly suggest you listen to this.

I thought there were a number of similarities to the more widely known Evanescence. Even the girls voices sound eerily similar. There a bit more towards Hard Rock / Metal.

Personally I think the guy singer should avoid singing in his Metal voice, it takes away from the experience. But some people are into that screaming voice kind of thing. The guy and girls voices compliment/harmonize well when the guy ain't screaming - so they should focus on that in there music.

How nice it is to hear something of this quality for free. Awesome vocals, musicianship and vocals. Kind of reminds me of Evanescence and Lacuna Coil. I wonder when they'll hit the US with a tour?

Really enjoyed listening to Antarhes' stuff... Given that at the moments the world of "darker" music is nothing short of bands featuring heavy guitars and female lead vocals, musicians have to be rather good to excel from this mass of average bands. Antarhes, fortunately, do manage to do so, and somehow managed to create music somewhere all in between Nightwish, Within Temptation, Elis, Evanescence and a bunch of other bands, and yet remaining original, inspired and highly energetic. A rather strong band, leaving the rather limited playing time possibly the only bad thing about "Breathin again"... Well done, folks.
