Drop-Zone released there first single "Up Next" in 1999 and sold over 50,000 copies that same year. Over 15 Albums Later, 3 World Indie Artist Awards and a Nation full of "Drop-Zone" Fanz, the music is more than a Movement It's A Revolution.

Drop-Zone was established in 1995 by Mr.Tac a.k.a. "Chocolate" as a music outlet for unsigned & indie local artists of all genres to create, promote and manage their music products worldwide. Once Drop-Zone was created as the foundation and name that represented the original and new blends of many styles of music, Mr.Tac a.k.a. "Chocolate" created the Zone Platinum Entertainment Label as a company to release and distribute the music.

Drop-Zone original members were Mr.Tac a.k.a. "Chocolate', La'mo'ne't, L.K.T., Alabye, PepperMint, Diamond Cutz, Omeknight, BlackHole Sun & Yung Manny and the current members are Mr.Tac a.k.a. "Chocolate", Nova, Cleva, Bloody Stealz/Billz, Thomaz J. Edizon, CBW Productionz, Citizen Kane, Baby Gurl Ent., Drop-Zone AllSTARZ and Fam Fam among others.

Drop-Zone consists of over a dozen of music artists forming together as one to bring forth a unique and refreshing sound to the ears of music lovers. The styles incorporated include R&B/Soul, Hip-Hop, Rap, Country, Alternative, Folk, Pop, Electronic and Punk.

Drop-Zone as a collective has released over 25 albums, 10 mixtapes, 10 E.Ps & various compilations since its inception in 1995 and all were released independently by Zone Platinum Ent., with or without partnership.

Drop-Zone is known to many as "The X-Men of Music"; a collection of music artists to support indie music.
