Vladimir Sterzer was born on June 30, 1982 in Novoaltaisk, Siberia, Russia. At the age of 9 he took his first piano lessons. After two years of piano lessons he took part in several piano contests and achieved first places over a period of three years. After two years he was discovered by a professional piano teacher and was encouraged to study piano at the university. Due to his extraordinary skills, he did not even have to take the entrance exam. This was Vladimir Sterzer’s first step to a concert pianist.

In 1996 he had to leave the university because his family moved to Germany, where Vladimir kept studying piano and classical guitar at the local music school of Altötting. Finally, in 2005, he finished his studies at the well known Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, where Vladimir focused his skills not only on classical music, but also on contemporary jazz and popular music. This influence can be discovered in his own pieces today, in which he also combines elements from film- and commercial music.

In addition to his great composing skills, Vladimir teaches classical piano, keyboard and guitar. With his band colleague, Johann Dirschl, he produced several videos of his own piano pieces for YouTube, where he gained increasing interest of viewers from all over the world. His songs were requested as sheet music and as a CD production.

Vladimir Sterzer is surely one of the very few artists who has been able to attract a large audience without the use of TV, radio or any other help from the music industry. Today his videos are being visited more than 1000 times a day while his works are listed at the top rankings of youtube´s search engine. Due to this success, he and his partner have decided to produce a whole album entitled " Mundus Meus - Classic Pop Piano" which was released on 15th of September, 2009. On this CD you will find many various melodic themes in different keys and atmospheres such as melancholic, Irish, classical, romantic and baroque elements. "Mundus Meus - Classic Pop Piano" contains 28 titles and has been recorded and produced by Vladimir Sterzer and Johann Dirschl. The songs are printed on 111 pages of sheet music.
