Ilona Akimova is an independent artist musician, singer, song writer and producer.
After performing in various shows and concerts in Sochi and Moscow, Russia, gigging around Cyprus local clubs with the local rock'n'roll band Ventilator Groove, she got down to recording her first album in 1998 in one of Moscow music studios.
The mixing of the recorded songs was suspended, while Ilona formed a band and plunged into 'rehearsals-performing-recording of the new songs' process.
In 2004 she dismissed her band and started co-working on her new album Big City with her friend Valera Paramonov-well known Moscow music producer, at Vi-sound Studio, which the two started together earlier that year.
Shortly creation was joined by three musicians, who Ilona has ran into while they were jamming at the studio. Ilona at once proclaimed this was her 'dream band' and in the process the name of the band Juice Big City was decided as it added some fresh squeezed goodness to the hustle and bustle of Moscow.
During the rehearsal period the band members changed and Juice Big City started gigging around the local clubs and festivals. The band have developed an Arena Rock, Blues Rock and Pop Rock sound.
Since releasing of the Big City album, Juice Big City had recorded the three singles: What The Heck (Still I Want You Here), 100 Days and One Two Three, shot three videos for their songs: Big City, 100 Days (the russian version) and
One Two Three.
Ilona dismissed Juice Big City in 2011 because of her voice issues.
While giving her voice time to recover, she eventually got down to mixing of her unfinished first album's songs with her friend, musician and Vi-sound Studio sound producer Andrew Weed. The first song that has come out is Rain.
And,… The Rain video is soon to come…)))
