A Toothless Life was a project I, Derek, started in 2006. The whole premise of the band conceptually was to get some deep seated ideas and thoughts out of myself and into music. It worked and resulted in the album The Ways I'm Going Blind, which was released on December 23, 2006 to much fanfare in Decatur, IL. One album ended up being enough for the project--it seems I've worked out certain demons and can continue on musically under another name (whether it will be another pseudonym or not remains to be seen). Enjoy The Ways I'm Going Blind and keep your ears open for a b-sides collection called An Epilogue, which will contain songs written with this project in mind that never came to fruition on a normal album.
