THE BOOTS are an Alternative- Rockband from South Tyrol (Italy), formed in 2006.
The group was found as an acoustic- band by Martin Marcher (vocals), Armin Walcher (guitar) and Stefanie Marcher. After a few months the band was joined by Emanuel Plaickner (drums) and Florian Brugger (Bass). Now their sound had changed, they covered songs from Audioslave to The Ramones.
During summer 2007 Stefanie Marcher left the band and for the four guys had come the moment to overthink the concept of the band and to concentrate on their own songs, influenced by Rock, Punk and Metal music, which reflect the different music taste of the bandmembers.
Their first album „This Is Not A Test“ was recorded in late autumn 2008 in Bruneck and was released in January 2009 by the netlabel Airbagpromo Records with a creative- commons- licence and it can be downloaded for free on www.airbagpromo.com/records.
The songs are expressions of quiet moments („I Need Your Voice“) and of significantly heavier and more progressive elements („Wasted“).
