Black Luxus was founded as an Austrian Alternative Rock Band in autumn 2007, while the term “Freak Rock” would probably be the most accurate characterization for the music:
Tool meets Nine Inch Nails meets Queens of the Stone Age, and Kurt Cobain stops by for a cup of coffee, after having puked all over Rage Against the Machine’s tourbus...
Heavy riffs mix up with a certain amount of psychedelia. Black Luxus means: soulful lyrics of a sensitive, hurt spirit laying in a bed of rusty nails, the music isn't bound to any limits and each song is a world of it's own.
The group's debut album "Ambiguities" was recorded and produced by Rold Schneider and Luke Mack at the Soundmue Studios Vienna, and has been released on October 29th, 2007.
Black Luxus are: Luke Mack (vocals, bass), Rold Schneider (guitar, vocals), Flo Razocha (keyboards) and Dave Ettl (drums).
All songs are written by Luke Mack, management and production are conducted by the whole band, which is not tied to any kind of label or record company.
