The band was formed 10 years ago by Patrick Nye, Belgian-French multiinstrumentalist and composer living in Morocco, Poland and New York. He started his music experience 20 years ago with demo debut solo album "Reinvent". The album is no longer available as it was erased from the original mastertape few weeks after recording. Since then Patrick Nye made 2 albums under Candytalk name: "Art of Foolish Things" in 2005 and the new album "Needed" in August 2009.

In 2006 Peter Cavendish, guitar and bass player, joined the band. He left the band not more than a year later during a Candytalk small tour through Iceland, Holland, Belgium and Germany. They met again in the beginning of 2009 and started their cooperation again.

"Needed" album was recorded in The Vision Voice Studios in Munich and Weer Studios in Oslo.

In March 2007 Candytalk recorded EP "February Song" with 2 tracks: February Song (Demo Edit) and All the Things (June Session Edit). In October 2009 the band released maxi single "Eden 2009" with few previously unreleased versions of their song "Eden" from the debut album "Art of Foolish Things" and one bonus track "Opportunities Against Weaknesses".
