Charlie Mosbrook brings a unique modern approach to traditional American folk music. As a Singer/ songwriter/guitarist, Charlie's calm yet deeply soulful sound, along with 20 years of experiance, provide listeners with performances that ripen the spirit and raise the soul. His Music is the union of our everyday stories and the sonic odyssey that fills his head, delivered seamlessly through textured guitar and his warm, soulful voice.
Charlie has been a prominent musical force in the Northeast Ohio area for 20 years. He has performed as a solo act and with bands "Chuck Mosbrook and the Electric Monkey , NAJI, and Across this Swamp. He has hosted many popular open mics, as well as recording many local acts throughout the northern Ohio area. His positive musical influence continues to be felt in the local music scene with players like XELA.
Charlie has performed with Jewel, CSN, The Jefferson Starship, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Chris Whitley, The Samples, and Jason White.
In 1996 he was chosen to perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in a tribute to Woody Guthrie.
Other honors include being a five time nominee in the Cleveland Free Times Music Poll, nominated to the NXNE Music Conference in Toronto by the Free Times' Music Editor Anastasia Pantsios, and took third place in the All Chicago area Open Mic competition in 1990. Charlie's solo and past band work includes 6 CD releases, two of which were in the top 20 in sales on MP3.com.
