Codeoman loves listening to music and one day after his first installation of Garage Band program on his hackintosh he began to record his first album ‘Heading for the Invasion’.
His grandgrand father used to play ‘davul’ (for the feasts and during local weddings), his father used to play the drum before (the band’s name is ‘Hunlar’) and during his compulsory military service. Probably, his music skills passed onto him through DNA replication.
He first began playing mandolin that belonged to his elder brother, but his hands are not big and strong enough to press the frets and also one or two strings were missing. Then he began playing the organ that his father bought when he was in primary school, though he was interested in playing the guitar. In high school, passion for playing the guitar made him hang around in Taksim (a popular place in Istanbul where you can find many music shops) almost every weekend just to watch the electro guitars he always wanted to have one. Borrowed friends’ guitars to practice. Began listening to metal music. Between 1997 and 1998, with a couple of friends they began playing in studios for fun and he was playing the drum (no surprise). In 1998, university days began and he never played an instrument again, just listened to music days and night and played his tunes in his head until now (July 2008).
With his first album, ‘Heading for the Invasion’, he tries to create a story that takes place in a war setting. Each song tries to explain its title…
