In the summer of 1992 Brett David was formerly introduced to Dan Galletti for the first time by mutual friends who knew of each one’s musical ability. They were both teenagers at the time. When they realized their ability to harmonize together vocally they soon made an effort to work on songs as a “Lennon and McCartney” type team. It was then that they realized they shared a common songwriting interest. Dan and Brett went on to write many songs together and eventually perform them to live audiences in Central IL with great favor. Only on live events do they use backup musicians to accompany their songs.
It is the goal for DAVID-GALLETTI to have their music heard through as many channels as possible. They feel that the general interest in much of today’s music has been lacking due to over production and distractions like American Idol. Brett and Dan hope to help re-establish a purity of soul, sound, and spirit into the sound of today and tomorrow because the public needs it more than ever to help them through these troublesome times. They hope to speak musically with a down to earth sound that will invite everyone to listen, ….and smile.
